Drug
Development June 2008 Prof Richard Banati, Director of the National Imaging Facility, and
Dr Jun Liu, took possession of their new INPHAZE instrument, thereby
commencing a long-term collaborative relationship with INPHAZE. Their
project is to measure the impedance of confluent brain cells of the Glial
type, and then the effect of selected drugs on these cells.
A new custom-made tissue culture chamber is being developed as part of the
project, to be mounted on a reflection microscope.
This experimental set-up will allow INPHAZE to move into the domain of drug
discovery and development.
